Now, if you came here expecting bourbon whiskey-infused cheesecake, I am sorry, this is a 100% halal food blog but read further as it may help you to know a bit about bourbon biscuits!
What are Bourbon biscuits?
Bourbon biscuits are chocolate sandwich biscuits with a chocolate cream filling. Nope, despite their name, there is no added alcohol nor is this made by the whiskey company. Bourbon biscuits were a treat during my childhood which means we don't get to eat them every day like milk-bikis or Marie.
But when there is a pack of bourbon biscuits, they vanish quicker. I think it is safe to say that the Bourbon biscuit is my Oreo. 😁 Though the images show two of my favourite brands, I would like to state that I paid for it.

I read a few articles and thought this article by Biscuit People covers everything about this bourbon biscuit that you will be amazed to learn.
No-bake cheesecake jars
No-bake cheesecake jars are an easy dessert to whip up for two or twenty in a short time. You don't have to turn on the oven but may have to turn the stove or microwave to melt the butter.
You only need a handful of ingredients and some cute little jars. Individual desserts are the best way to portion control if you are sweet-toothed and don't know when to stop (like us).
Are you ready to try a baked cheesecake? Trust me and start with my Burnt Cheesecake recipe. They are not intimidating at all!
Ingredients
- Bourbon biscuit: It is chocolate cream sandwiched with a cocoa biscuit with sugar sprinkled. You may use any similar cookies or even Oreos.
- Cream cheese: I have used the Almarai squares, not the spread. You can use any other brand but make sure you pick "cream cheese blocks" and not the spreadable ones.
- Condensed milk: You can whip up this dessert with any leftover sweetened condensed milk sitting in your refrigerator. You may use whipped cream instead but you will have to add sugar to the cream cheese mix.
- Labneh: You know my love for labneh and laban! Labneh is the hung curd of the Middle East. You may use thick plain Greek yoghurt or sour cream in place of labneh. You may even skip this if you are not a fan of the Original Cheesecake Factory cheesecake.
- Orange zest: Usually it is lemon zest, but I figured orange and chocolate go hand in hand (not a real fan though)
Instructions
Any no-bake cheesecake in jars will have two or three layers. The biscuit crust, cream cheese filling, and topping along with optional garnish.
Here we start with the bourbon biscuit crust, top it with cream cheese mix and finish off with toppings and or garnish. I skipped the toppings and just used a biscuit for garnish that will serve as a spoon too. 😛
